| On the contrary Shah Rukh Khan was reportedly very keen on pairing up with Priyanka Chopra for Farah Khan's new film Happy New Year. According to reports SRK was flexing all his muscles to ensure that PC was paired with him. Priyanka was the original choice for the movie before the infamous Gauri-Priyanka cold war started.
Deepika, Katrina, Priyanka and Kareena were all in the reckoning. But all other actors are reportedly busy and Deepika was already doing Chennai Express with SRK, so PC becomes the obvious choice. Priyanka Chopra was meant to be allotting dates later this year to either Shah Rukh Khan's home-production 'Happy New Year' or to Ekta Kapoor's 'Milan Talkies'. Both films are going to be on the floors almost back-to-back.
Everyone thought Priyanka’s first choice will always be SRK’s home production but to everyone’s surprise PC has given Ekta Kapoor a go-ahead to shoot Tigmanshu Dhulia's Milan Talkies with Imran Khan. So SRK's home production will feature another girl in the lead along with Shah Rukh and Abhishek Bachchan. Priyanka and Shah Rukh's friendship hit the rocks early this year when the actress was accused of putting Gauri's paradise in trouble, owing to her friendship with the superstar.
